Song Dedication

This one's for you, Dave and Becca! I'm thinking about you all the time, but mostly when I'm riding my bike beside the canal, listening to Incubus on those wonderful headphones you gave me. I wish you were here...

Me + TMZ = Frenemies for life

My feelings were always pretty neutral about TMZ. I wasn't a huge fan, but usually browsed the page daily, regardless. But after their obsessive-to-the-point-of-being-obscene minute-by-minute Paris Hilton-jail-fiasco coverage, I had to proclaim my absolute contempt and disgust. "I hate you, TMZ," I said. I didn't actually stop checking the site daily, though; I mean, when has absolute abhorrence of something ever stopped me from being curious about if before? And what do you know: today, they made me smile with this clever and quite humorous "what celebrities would look like in real life" gallery. (And by "in real life," they mean if they were overweight, with bad hair and ugly clothes.) Here's a sample:

Good stuff. So I guess I don't hate you, TMZ. (I'm still pissed off about all that Paris coverage, though; that s**t was ridiculous.)

Have some "Cyanide and Happiness!"

I just spent an entire hour zoning out and reading the comics on the Cyanide and Happiness website. Some were hilarious, others were confusing, and a few were actually pretty dark and disturbing. These were my favorites.

Happy Fourth!

Yea, a day off in the middle of the week and a babysitter for three whole hours and me on my bike at the river and then some fireworks!

I don't think it gets any better than that! Happy Fourth!
